The Seth Thomas Clock Company can trace roots back to the early 1800’s. Seth Thomas was involved in production of electrically wound clock movements through its association with the Self Winding Clock Company in the late 1880’s but did not introduce their own 60 beat master clock until a Seth Thomas self winding master clock appeared in the 1922 catalog. The master clock movement appears to be a modification of a #68 movement and was available in cases from their existing line of fine regulators.
